A case for Anti-Natalism

An anti-natalist is supposedly someone who has abandoned or never harbored in the first place- the desire of passing on their genes. Not necessarily a dislike for children but perhaps a distaste for the cycle of reproduction. Morality which is apparently responsible for telling us the right from wrong, is prevalent, artificial yet inherent. In the large scale chaos of the universe, there can be no life without morality and compassion- at least not for long. It is also one of those things that you really shouldn't observe closely as it slowly starts to lose its sense. After all, it makes none in the grander scheme of things.  So it was to happen that the laws of nature would allow a remote and tiny planet shooting along in the rough winds of the cosmos to one day give birth to what we call life. Life is hope and all the good stuff but more than all that and because of specifically there being no intelligent designer, it is about death and decay.  Things don't die in the cosmos....

One More Breath

The most significant question of all, if there can be such a thing, is generally a title held in reserve for the question on the origin of the universe. I've come to believe that it is probably the second most significant question in the cosmos, right after on the 'meaning' of life. Make no mistake, any attempt to chase after such quests in my sight is nothing short of a fool’s errand. The inception of the question must have occurred many years ago in my mind, back when I was too young to understand where my life would lead me but old enough to realize that it would certainly be nowhere pleasant. It's difficult to explain when or how a child comes to realize how weak his family might be. In my case, it was a most profound idea. But the first in a series of crucial disabuses say that life had in its arsenal, stored, to unleash with time in precise proportions upon me. I saw soon when I grew up that those that boasted about the definition of morality had no clue at...

Who are you?

You've probably heard this many times that every plant and animal on this planet are related. If you remember the reason, it's that we are all built up of the same stuff. 'Stuff' that we are built out of. Cells. We're all different forms of life that are all somehow related to one another. Built up of the same fundamental living blocks called cells. From the skin tissue that protects your other organs from physical threats to the irreplaceable neurons inside your slimy brain affixed inside your head in perpetual darkness, are made up of cells. How many cells exist inside us? About 37.2 Trillion Cells. However that only accounts to about one-fourth of our total biomass. What about the rest? So if you imagined yourself built up of these many blocks of cells, you were way off. This only accounts for a portion. The rest it turns out, are not even human. Countless types of Microorganisms live inside us that outnumber the human parts three to one. There are Bacteria, ...
